Over the last seven years, we have had the privilege of filming and photographing Inn At Mavericks in all four seasons. On our first stay at the inn we woke early in the morning to the sky lit up with oranges and golds and we scrambled to the porch with our cameras and watched the colors change and modulate as the sun rose over the bay. On other visits, we have roamed the cliffs above Mavericks beach and filmed the harbor full of couples and families as they played in the harbor’s gentle waters.
Every season has its moods and many mornings we have sat the deck and filmed the anchored boats drift in and out of the mysterious early morning fog. One of our favorite seasons at the inn is spring when the bees and butterflies catch the gentle breeze from the bay. It must be the ocean currents circulating through Half Moon Bay and the mild coastal California weather that creates this perfect little stretch of coast, but when you visit the inn be sure to bring your camera.
