Located 6 minutes north of the Inn at Mavericks off of Highway 1, you’ll find Montara State Beach. Montara Mountain is part of Montara State Beach, and is the only undisturbed coastal mountain habitat found for over 100 miles of the coastline. Montara State Beach is one of the most popular beaches along the Half Moon Bay coast due to its rugged beauty and cleanliness. Dog owners are allowed to bring their canine companions to the beach as long as they are kept on a leash.
