There are many exciting attractions surrounding the Inn at Mavericks. In the front of our picture, you’ll see the Pillar Point Harbor and Romeo Pier surrounded by the beautiful Half Moon Bay beaches. Fishing and crabbing without a license is allowed on all public piers in California. There are also sailing cruises, shoreline hiking trails, and picnicking within Pillar Point Harbor.
In downtown Princeton-By-The-Sea, you’ll find Harbor Village, which is a unique and rustic shopping center. The Oceano Spa, Aqua Beauty Lounge, and Surf Factory all call Harbor Village home, as well as the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company (our sister company), and other restaurants such as, The Sand Bar and Village Pizza Kitchen. There are also three different 18-hole championship golf courses within a 10 minute drive of the Inn.
In the mountains surrounding the inn is the 40-acre Quarry Park within the memorable community of El Granada. In the park is the Crystal Springs Regional Trail, which is currently a 15.3 mile expanse. At this moment, the trail is unfinished — it is intended to be a 17.5 mile pathway that will extend from San Bruno to Woodside. It is broken up into three segments: the San Andreas Segment, the Sawyer Camp Segment, and the Crystal Springs Segment. Hiking, horseback riding, and bicycling are allowed. There is also the Coyote Point Recreation Area, which includes a picnic area, a promenade, a marina, and the Magic Mountain playground. Within Coyote Point, the CuriOdyssey center offers science and wildlife exhibits with the goal of educating children in a fun way.
