We were scheduled to leave for Inn At Mavericks in the early afternoon but work kept trapping me in the office until late. I called the front desk at the inn and asked if I should stop in the city for dinner before arriving and, almost humorously, the manager said "just get down here as we have lots of dining options." In retrospect this was truly an understatement as within a few blocks of the Inn are at least a half dozen fantastic restaurants ranging from sea food to Italian.
We didn't arrive until about 9PM and after checking in had a leisurely walk over to the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company for a late drink and dinner. The brewery had a great live band playing and an assortment of local beers that may take several return visits to adequately sample.
The next moring we drove up the street to an amazing little restaurant on the edge of the airport called Three-Zero Cafe. This is where you want to eat for breakfast at least once during your visit to Half Moon Bay.
When you are ready for that relaxing weekend, without cars and traffic, then come over to the Inn At Mavericks... walk to dinner... walk to the beach... and sit on your porch and watch the sunset.
