There are many beautiful beaches and parks in the Half Moon Bay area. Being located along the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, you'll have no trouble finding places to explore during your trip to the coast. We have provided a list below to help you in your search for the perfect outing.

  • Drive to the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve and the Point Montara Light house which are a few minutes north of the Inn.
  • Drive south and visit the famous Ano Nuevo State Park where the elephant seals can be seen year round.
  • Arrange to go horseback riding on the coastal trails and down onto the beach.
  • Visit the many hiking trails along the coast, through the hillsides and deep into the Redwoods.

  • Walk to Harbor Village shopping; a one-of-a-kind atrium shopping experience featuring the Oceano Spa, for those times you want to be pampered.
  • Sign up for an outdoor adventure sports rentals, such as Kayaking, windsurfing and deep sea fishing, all are a short walk from your doorstep.
  • Make reservations to play a round of gold at one of the two 18 hole Championship golf courses, both less than ten minutes from the Inn at Mavericks.
  • Enjoy fine dining and casual dining establishments all within walking distance from the Inn.
